What is a mobile device?
An important feature is the concept of mobility, mobile devices are small to behave and be easily employed during transport. In many cases they can be synchronized with a computer system for updating applications and data.
Another feature is that you can connect to a wireless network, for example, a mobile phone, pocket communicators or PDAs. These devices behave as if they were directly connected to a network via a cable, giving the impression to the user that the data is stored on the device itself.
The concepts of mobile device and wireless are often confused. A PDA with data on it and applications to manage, can be mobile but need not be wireless, as you may need a cable to connect to the computer and get or send data and applications. On the other hand, a mobile phone equipped with a small browser can make the use of the Internet considering wireless but not mobile, because it has no added value as an extra feature that provides some function in applications where the device It is not connected to other systems such as computers, cameras, etc. If the PDA is able to connect to a network to obtain data in the middle of the street, it considers wireless.
